'The Tropic': The 224-unit, 18-story development in Hollywood, FL

Construction started on 'The Tropic' at the end of March 2024.

Affiliated Development secured approval for The Tropic, a 224-unit housing development, in Fall 2021 and is expected to cost $83Million to complete.

Set to echo the Miami Modern architectural style, the 357,929-square-foot high-rise includes workfoce housing and features 220+ apartments, 600 square feet of commercial space, all designed by MSA Architects.

The development will consist of a fitness center, swimming pool, business center, co-working space, a rooftob observation deck, 296-spot parking garage and a dog park.

The Tropic is a part of the redevelopment wave in downtown Hollywood and will be at 1744 N. Federal Highway, Hollywood, Florida, 33020.
