The Role:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, responsible for accurately assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and gain exposure to various sectors within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and material pricing to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive estimates.
Evaluate and recommend cost-saving alternatives without sacrificing quality or performance.
Prepare detailed bid proposals and present estimates to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial, industrial, or luxury residential projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
